A lawyer by profession, Duncan Jepson has published the novels All the Flowers in Shanghai and Emperors Once More, as well as the graphic novel Darkness Outside the Night. He was the editor of the fashion and culture magazine WestEast and one of the founders of the Asia Literary Review. He writes for The New York Times, The Daily Telegraph or Hong Kong Tattler. He has also directed, written and produced five feature films and he has produced documentaries for Discovery Channel Asia and National Geographic. He lives in Hong Kong.
